Sedation Dentistry And Pain Free Dentistry

To avoid anxiety of dental treatment, Trisa Dental Solutions provides Sedation Dentistry options here at our dental practice in Ulwe

As many as 75 percent of people in India  suffer from fear and anxiety during dental visit – and many thus dont obtain adequate dental care. At Trisa Dental Solutions - our fully equipped ultramodern center in Ulwe we  fully understand the anxiety of such  people. That’s why we offer sedation dentistry options here at our dental practice in Ulwe. Sedation (sleep) dentistry can make your experience with our dentist as pain-free as possible. Trisa Dental Solutions  offer multiple sedation techniques to help you feel relaxed and comfortable during your dental treatment. In fact, you may not even realize the procedure was performed until it is complete!

Nitrous Oxide Sedation dentistry

Nitrous oxide is what some people refer to as "laughing gas".  While it does not make everyone laugh, it is a very mild form of sedation that can help decrease a patient's anxiety about having dental procedures completed.  This type of sedation does not have as many restrictions as the other two types.  Almost anyone is a candidate for nitrous oxide sedation (even kids!), and there are no long lasting side effects after the dental procedure is over.  There are no eating restrictions prior to or after using nitrous oxide and you can drive yourself to and from your dental appointment.

Oral Conscious Sedation dentistry

Oral Conscious sedation is a way for you to experience virtually painless dental treatment without being totally unconscious during the procedure. There are no IV anesthetics involved – you will be given oral medication before your treatment that will put you in a very relaxed state. Oral conscious sedation makes it possible for you to avoid feeling discomfort or pressure during the procedure; however, you will be able to communicate with the dental surgeon and their assistants  during your dental treatment.

IV Conscious Sedation dentistry

IV sedation dentistry is your best option if you are extremely afraid of dental treatment, find you need to have dental surgery, or even have complex restorative treatment completed.  IV sedation is the highest level of sedation that is offered in our office.

In this type of sedation, we combine oral and IV medications to ensure the patient is comfortable and unaware of the dental procedure going on around them. During this type of sedation dentistry, your blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen levels will be monitored throughout the entire procedure, and you may also be hooked up to a heart monitor.

Sedation dentistry can help if you are:

  • Anxious about needles, dental treatments, and dentists in general
  • Affected by sensitive teeth and gums
  • Uncomfortable hearing the sounds of dental instruments
  • Uncomfortable with the tastes associated with dental procedures
  • Anxious about dental conditions that may require long treatment processes
  • Have trouble getting numb
  • Have extreme teeth sensitivity
  • Prefer to complete multi-part dental treatments in just one visit
  • Are undergoing oral surgery (such as a tooth extraction)
  • Have a severe gag reflex
  • Suffer from profound dental anxiety or phobia

Sedation Dentistry

With oral and IV sedation dentistry, you’ll also be required to have someone to pick you up after your dental appointment and stay with you at home for two to four hours.  This is in order to make sure that you’re okay and alert.
